Our Nike brand manager, Gavin Bannister, has been busy putting the Nike Pegasus 41 to the test;
ㅤ
I have been wearing Pegasus since the mid 90's and there have been some good ones and some we shall not speak of ever again... but this one is a GREAT ONE.
ㅤ
Straight out of the box, the design looks so much more modern and fresh than its predecessors. The visual language of the shoe being more cushioned than previous models is obvious. An increased stack height (an extra 4mm) is what this shoe needed to put it back on the runners map again, and Nike have certainly hit a perfect sweet-spot between cushioning and responsiveness. This is not the most cushioned shoe in the Nike range, as that accolade goes to the Invincible, but this is one of the most runnable shoes I have worn for a long, long time. The ReactX foam is so spot on, that classic Nike soft cushioned feel, but a nice peppy ride .... like the Pegasus of old.
ㅤ
ㅤ
Its weight distribution is perfect for everyday miles, especially if you need a shoe to do some snappier km's, but it's just as comfortable at a steady pace too.
A substantial heel cup makes you feel secure and locked in - we really are set to go the distance in these. The overall fit is great, and underfoot it feels like a dream. I'm back in love with the Pegasus all over again, just like in the 1990's! These are going to be hard to beat as a daily trainer, and with more work to the Pegasus line to come with the new Pegasus Premium launching in 2025, the Pegasus is here to win both hearts and feet.

ㅤ
Upgraded Upper
Everything runners love about the Pegasus fit remains, but improvement to the engineered mesh decreases weight and increases breathability.
ㅤ
Increased comfort
A plush collar, tongue and sockliner for a secure and comfortable fit.
ㅤ
Traction Matters
Signature waffle-inspired rubber outsole for traction and flexibility.
ㅤ
Crafted for performance and planet
ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared with prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V. and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.
