The Tech

The On Cloudmonster burst onto the running scene just over two years ago and has since grown in popularity during that time. Now, with this latest release - the Cloudmonster Hyper - On have created the ultimate training partner in order to bridge the gap between fast training and race days.

In a nutshell, we're looking at a brand new training shoe designed to offer the ingredients of a super shoe for even greater cushioning and energy return than the Cloudmonster 2.

Engineered woven upper

Made from a microfibre material and engineered for comfort, the upper of the Cloudmonster Hyper has been created with 85% recycled content. The lightweight upper is super-breathable and allows air to circulate for a cooling sensation when moving whilst simultaneously removing built-up heat, leaving you comfortable as you put the miles in. The tongue has a gusseted design that stops debris from entering the shoe reducing irritation.

A traditional lacing system, has been included to lock down the midfoot and reduce in-shoe slippage for a distraction-free ride. The ends of the laces feature silicone inserts increasing grip and reducing time spent tying your lace. Finishing the shoe upper is a large reflective On Logo, providing visibility in low light conditions.

Cloudtec with Helion HF midsole

The Hyper omits the Speedboard found in the Cloudmonster 2, nor the carbon fibre plate found in the Cloudboom Echo 3, placing the Hyper as the ultimate athlete training shoe.

Maintaining max cushioning levels as per the Cloudmonster 2, the Cloudmonster Hyper goes one step further offering an extra layer of Helion HF (Pebax) Superfoam which has been uniquely combined with On's CloudTech technology to provide exceptional levels of energy return for intense fast-paced high mileage training, such as your long marathon run preparation, keeping you feeling fresh and ready for your next session.

Rubber outsole

The outsole features a grippy rubber compound and enhanced traction pattern to enable speed in both wet and dry conditions.

The shoes use a rocker-shaped geometry to provide superior propulsion and more explosive take-offs during every stride assisting you when hitting those PBs.
