With a new foot-shaped fit and exciting enhancements in grip, cushioning, comfort and protection, the TRAILFLY is ready to meet the all-distance needs of runners who like to tame the trails.

Its sibling is the lighter, lower-drop TRAILFLY SPEED, built for fast-feel running over hard-ground trails.

New shape and fits

The brand-new anatomical shape of the TRAILFLY hugs the natural contours of your foot, locking in at the heel and widening at the toes for a secure, comfortable feel.

Built into that there are two specific fits - Standard and Wide.

Go Wide Fit if you have wider feet or like an extra comfortable feel with more wiggle room for toes. It allows for greater comfort when running longer distances, when toes can often swell.

A breathable and comfortable upper

A single piece of air-mesh material forms the upper making the shoe highly breathable and comfortable with zero irritation to feet. Over the top of the air-mesh, thick MET-CRADLE strips connect the midfoot to the heel, creating an even greater locked-in, secure feel when you tighten your laces. A gusseted tongue stops any debris slipping down past the laces and into the shoe.

A cushioned and bouncy midsole

High levels of cushioning and responsiveness are provided by the new superlight POWERFLOW PRO foam midsole. This amazing underfoot comfort and propulsion is built in a way that still allows for the ground-feel you need when running over uneven terrain. A new, lighter version of the 6mm thick BOOMERANG footbed features hundreds of expanded TPU beads that compress and spring back for more energy return and cushioning. This footbed now features more perforations to help water evaporate and transfer out of the shoe. It's worth mentioning that you BOOMERANG footbeds can be bought separately as replacements once the shoes begin to lose their cushioning.

More underfoot protection

Skip over technical trail and sharp rocks knowing the bottom of your feet are protected by the addition of a flexible META-SHANK rock plate. Thanks to its flexibility, the plate still allows your feet to move naturally and enjoy some feel for the terrain underneath. At the front of the shoe, a toe guard adds further protection when you inevitably kick a rock.

Improved grip

Hard-wearing rubber infused with the world’s strongest material – Graphene – has now also been enhanced with more stickiness. It means the newly shaped 4mm long lugs not only cut through loose trail and remain super-durable, but also give greater grip in wet conditions. The lugs are carefully positioned, pointing in multiple directions to shed any lingering debris, improve toe spring when running uphill and aid faster heel-breaking when running downhill. Underfoot flex grooves, including a new vertical one beside your big toe, give even more uphill spring, while bigger shaped lugs in high-wear areas further enhance the outsole’s lifespan.

20 years in the making, the new 2024 TRAILFLY Series boasts the most exciting design enhancements in INOV8's history.

The two new shoes – TRAILFLY and TRAILFLY SPEED, share many of the same characteristics but also offer very different options for when running over hard-ground trails.

In short, the TRAILFLY is the Cushioned Rider, with more foam underfoot and built for longer runs and races.

The TRAILFLY SPEED is the Agile Speedster, lower in profile and built for faster runs and races.
