Air Mesh Upper
Constructed from air mesh this Adizero Tempo 9 offers maximum breathability. An Adizero webbing inspired by Japanese origami that provides forefoot support as you transition through the gait cycle. Additionally, the traditional lacing system and the overlays combine to provide a lock-down fit and provide enhanced support throughout the upper.
Boost Midsole
A proportion of the midsole is allocated to adidas's prime technology which is Boost. the 3,000 tightly compacted energy capsules that span three-quarters the length of the shoe bond with upper to create an energy return like no other. This delivers exceptional results making energy truly endless. The majority of the Boost capsules are gathered together within the heel area, this is plainly for shock absorption, as you land up tp 3X your own body weight in force goes through your foot and heel, The boost disperses shock through a wider surface area, spreading it along to where it ends in the forefoot area. The boost then stores this energy and uses it to propel you off into your next step.
Embedded within the midsole of the Tempo 9 bears another secret weapon that delivers a seamless transition through the gait cycle. The integration of a dual-density Torsion System helps the Adizero Tempo to accommodate more independent movements between the heel and forefoot, giving runners superior stability and a smooth, controlled run.
Stretch Webb And Continental Rubber Outsole
Straddling the outsole of the shoe is a stretch web Traction Outsole. The design features a perforated elastic design that puts runners closer to the Boost cushioning. with each stride, the webbing flexes with the midsole unit and allows the runner to capitalise on maximum energy-return benefits.
The Tempo 9 outsole incorporates a Continental rubber into the outsole which is then attached to the boost midsole. Continental rubber delivers 21% more traction in dry conditions and 23% more traction in wet conditions and is much more durable than standard outsole rubbers.
