ASICS Gel-Kayano 25 Running Shoes

FluidFit Upper
Supplying feet with a comfortable layer of protection, the Gel-Kayano 25 utilise a FluidFit construction. The FluidFit upper uses a mesh surface with non-elasticated materials as well as some elasticated parts, providing feet with the perfect amount of stretch which changes to the shape of your foot during running, therefore improving the fit of the shoes. Combined with a jacquard mesh upper the uppers are breathable, providing feet with a constant supply of airflow, helping them feel refreshed and preventing distractions during training. The minimalist design provides feet with a lightweight layer of protection for feet to thrive, and the seamless structure means the shoes help to prevent abrasion and irritation being caused during high-impact movement. The shoes have a Heel Clutching System which provides improved support and creates an improved heel-fitting environment. Completing the upper of these shoes is a traditional lace-up system, providing feet with a locked-in, secure fit and preventing in-shoe slippage during running.
FlyteFoam Midsole
The midsole of the Gel-Kayano 25 utilises an impressive combination of technologies to supply feet with an explosive ride from stepping out, to stepping in. The shoes have FlyteFoam Propel technology to provide supreme bounce, allowing every stride to have comfortable, soft cushioning. This works in tandem with the FlyteFoam Lyte technology, the lightest midsole formulation, which will provide you with continuous cushioning, due to the organic nano-fibres that run through the construction. Embedded within the midsole platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, are the Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems. They work to reduce shock during the impact phase, sparing your joints as your sprint down onto hard, unforgiving concrete, and allowing for a smooth transition to mid-stance. ASICS contrast their cushioning with the Duomax Support System. Implemented on the medial side, it helps to control pronation and reduce the risk of injury, enhancing stability and support without sacrificing lightweight or comfort. A SpEVA Foam 45 Lasting also resides underfoot to improve bounce-back characteristics and decrease midsole breakdown; the added cushion produces a soft feel and improved comfort for an even, uninterrupted ride. Throughout the construction of these shoes, the I.G.S (Impact Guidance System) Technology is applied, which is ASICS' design philosophy that employs linked componentry to enhance the foot's natural gait from heelstrike to toe-off. The Gel-Kayano 25's have a Guidance Trusstic System, provides enhanced gait efficiency, as well as, integrates Guidance Line construction, and provides you with midfoot structural integrity. Finally, an Ortholite X-40 Sockliner offers excellent rebound and cushioning for all-day comfort. Not only this, but the Sockliner has exceptional moisture management properties and a high level of breathability to keep feet feeling fresh.
AHAR Plus Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' high abrasion rubber is a tough rubber compound used in heavy-contact or high-wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. This exceptionally durable compound is 50% more durable than standard ASICS High Abrasion Rubber.
