Breathable Mesh Upper

Constructed using a Breathable Mesh Upper, the ASICS GT-Xpress 2 Running Shoes feature a breathable mesh upper that encases each foot in breathable comfort. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air. This aids moisture management by wicking sweat and excess moisture as it's produced then transfers it to the outer layers where it can be easily evaporated, keeping your feet cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The mesh upper creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Working to provide increased support are the synthetic overlays which ensure a secure and supportive fit whilst also adding to the overall durability of the shoe. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Flytefoam Midsole

Flytefoam cushioning has been used within the midsole for a softer feel underfoot and cushioning comfort. It absorbs shock as you strike down on the unforgiving ground, reducing the stress and strain put on the foot and joints, thus minimising the risk of injury. Teamed with Rearfoot Gel Technology, this combination creates softer landings and smoother transitions. Finishing the midsole is the Guidance Line technology. This promotes forefoot flexion across the MCP joints reducing soreness and increasing comfort. The technology lets your foot and shoe work in unison for greater support and balance.

AHAR Outsole

Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber is a tough rubber compound used in the heavy-contact or high wear areas which helps to cut down on excessive wear. The high abrasion outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, the grooves allow for natural foot flexion for easy, unhindered paces. An impact guidance system exists underfoot to enhance the foot's natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. The guidance line exists to enhance gait efficiency while increasing the shoe's torsional rigidity to prevent it from twisting.
