No-Sew Upper
The Gel-Netburner Academy has been designed using a no-sew upper to provide optimal breathability and comfort. The upper encourages cool air to circulate to help regulate temperature whilst allowing warm air to escape and move sweat away from the skin, where it can be evaporated. The shoe also includes a 3D print throughout the upper to help increase ventilation while maintaining durability and support. This provides optimal comfort and stability as you move across the court while protecting your foot from any possible damage. The shoes feature a padded tongue to offer a close fit and enhance comfort whilst also absorbing impact. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot, reducing in-shoe movement and has been teamed with a new eyelet loop system that helps provide a better fit and stability.
FlyteFoam Midsole
The midsole of the Gel-Netburner 10 features FlyteFoam technology, which provides exceptional cushioning and responsiveness. The midsole features exceptional cushioning properties which absorb impact when moving around the court. A removable sockliner also resides in the midsole which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic. The sockliner helps to enhance the foot's natural gait. Another feature in the midsole is the rearfoot and forefoot GEL cushioning systems which absorb shock during impact and toe-off phases. Completing the midsole is a Trusstic system which stabilises and creates a pocket between the system and the midsole, improving arch support and torsion stability.
AHAR Plus Outsole
Supreme grip and traction are guaranteed with the AHAR outsole. ASICS' High Abrasion Rubber is made with a durable rubber compound and located in heavy-contact or high-wear areas to help keep the shoe strong wear, after wear. The outsole provides a strong grip and works to protect itself from damage and prevent you from losing control and slipping. Creating a strong bond with the ground beneath it, the outsole allows you to stay in full control at all times. Flex grooves also adorn the outsole to provide added traction underfoot, allowing for natural foot flexion.
