Pertex Quantum is a light, soft fabric that allows insulation to fully loft by trapping still air and improves the insulation of the garment. Working to keep you warm and dry the Pertex Quantum fabrication has been treated with a highly durable water repellent treatment that can shed rain and snow easily for the winter months. It also works to block out cold winds so you can remain toasty and warm when the temperature drops. The construction allows for a high level of breathability which works to increase airflow so you'll never feel an uncomfortable heat build-up. By allowing cool air to flow into the garment the ventilated fabric creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. Working with Pertex Quantum is Hydrodown insulation which works to provide a perfect balance between warmth and weight. Hydrodown insulation traps body heat within its fibres and prevents them from escaping so you can retain body heat when temperatures drop. This insulation is also fast drying and water-resistant so not only will it work to keep you dry but it will also keep you light. Nikwax has also been used on the jacket to keep you insulated even in wet conditions. Additionally, the Berghaus Tephra Stretch Reflect Jacket also features Berghaus' reflect technology which works to boost your body temperature by up to 20%. The metallic reflect mesh has been used within the Hydrodown to bounce body heat back into the jacket without compromising on breathability. Two carefully hidden zipped pockets make perfect storage for any small personal items, keeping them safe and secure at all times.
