Deuter Guide 34+8 Backpack
Take your hike to the next level, make it into an expedition with the assistance of the guide. The comfortable, well-ventilated back system; snug fit that keeps the load close to your centre of gravity; ergonomic, detachable hip fins; hard-wearing materials; improved attachment systems; and stowable rope strap all combine to generate fine-tuned load control and maximum freedom of movement on multi-day alpine projects.
Supplying you optimum comfort across different types and lengths of hiking adventures, the Guide 34+8 has an Alpine System which makes the pack great in alpine regions. Ensuring an optimum balance of carrying comfort, durability and function, the Alpine system has softstripe pads which embrace your back with flexibility, allowing comfortable and free movement. Alongside this, the system has a streamlined pack sack, whilst ensuring the load is always close to the body's centre of gravity, for full control. The Guide 34+8 has a Delrin U-frame for stability and essential weight transfer, preventing the load from becoming too much when hiking. Deuter's VariFlex system certainly defines the flexibility of this carrying system. The pivoting hip fins follow complex body movements, therefore the loads can be evenly distributed to the hips, providing freedom of movement and reduced fatigue. These fins also feature loops for any attachments you want to keep close at hand. For increased comfort, a sternum strap fits across the chest to help stabilise the pack, whilst a removable padded mesh hip belt provides more carrying comfort.
The pack features various-sized pockets for all your essential needs. The main compartment is perfect for storing all your gear, while the j-shaped front zip opening offers easy access when needed without having to repack. A special pocket on the hipfin is perfect for storing valuables, whilst the stretch compartment inside is useful for separating dirty/wet clothes. The pack features an adjustable and removable lid for additional space, whilst attachment loops are perfect for storing accessories such as hiking poles or a helmet and skis. Ice axe attachment points keep them safely secure and ready for when you need them and a stowable rope strap allows you to easily attach rope for climbs. When your backpack is full to the brim, don't worry as the compression straps on the front of the pack provide even more space to attach additional equipment, as well as reducing load wobble! For hydration on the go, the backpack is compatible with 3L bladders which offer quick bursts of water when needed. Safety is key when out trekking in the wilderness, so don't worry as the pack has you covered with an SOS label that provides the most important tips in case of an emergency, and an integrated whistle on the sternum strap. A glasses stow system on the shoulder strap keeps your glasses safe and at hand and a key clip helps you keep your keys where you know they're safe and easy to find. Crafted from a ripstop polyamide, it's ultra-durable to boot. The Guide is one of the most versatile packs, with the flexibility to cope with every mountaineering scenario whether you're touring, climbing or tackling alpine summits. With a PFA-free DWR and ClimatePartner accreditation, it's an eco-conscious choice too.
