Hi-Tec Altitude VI I Waterproof Walking Boots
Part of the Altitude Collection, this lightweight hiking and walking boot is the perfect partner for your feet.
Dri-Tec Upper
The Altitude VI I Walking Boot from Hi-Tec is made with a Dri-Tec Membrane. This feature allows the boot to prevent water getting inside of the boot but at the same time, allows cool air to flow in at the same time as releasing warmer air. This will allow the inside of the boot and the wearer's feet to remain cool, dry and comfortable at all times. A Premium Leather has been chosen to construct the upper as it is a superbly durable material which will protect the boot and foot from potentially rough and loose terrain which could cause damage. This fabric is also extremely flexible and will allow the boot to wrap the foot with ease for a snug and supportive fit. A Hi-Tec specific feature is known as an I-Shield which in an invisible, protective layer has also been added to the upper which repels dirt as well as water, this can help prevent muck and debris getting inside of the boot. The I-Shield is also resistant to stains so the boot stays in great condition and looks more appealing for longer. The closure feature chosen for this boot is a traditional lacing system which can be quickly and easily adjusted to offer the wearer a snug, supportive and personal fastening. The Eyelets are made from a Rust-proof metal which will keep the fastening system in good condition for longer, therefore allowing the wearer to receive a secure fit for a longer period of time. The boot is lined with a Micro-Fleece fabric which draws excess sweat and moisture away from the skin and moves it to outer fabric layers where it can be evaporated. This feature is ideal for keeping the inside of the boot and the foot as cool, dry and comfortable as possible, especially on warmer days.
Ortholite Blended Midsole
The footbed is made from a blend of Ortholite and Slow Recovery Foam. The perforated top layer provides ultimate breathability, meaning this fabric draws excess sweat and moisture away from the skin and moves it to outer layers where it can be easily evaporated. The Slow Recovery Foam moulds to the shape of the wearer's foot to create a customised fit. A Structured EVA cradle has been added to the midsole which provides additional arch support and stability, which underfoot grooves allow additional air-flow for increased cooling. A Forkshank has been added to the midsole which is an ergonomically designed insert which is used to enhance the natural transition of the foot from heel-to-toe for much-needed support without additional weight and unnecessary bulk. CMEVA has also been chosen to construct the midsole of the Altitude VI I. This specific type of EVA was chosen because it works fantastically at absorbing impact and offers the wearer plush cushioning and long lasting comfort.
Michelin Rubber Outsole
The outsole has been constructed from Michelin rubber. The Michelin high-performance technical outsole gives ultimate traction, durability, flexibility and adaptability on all types of terrain encountered in everyday life. The large outside lugs offer support and stability whereas the aggressive grooves and edges provide traction and control in all directions. The larger grooves that have been placed on the outside lugs provide adaptability on various terrain. Siping on the centre lugs offer additional grip and the strategically positioned grooves offer greater flexibility.
