Mizuno Wave Ultima 13 Women's Running Shoes
The Wave Ultima 13 running shoe gives an improved feeling of propulsion. Utilising a MIZUNO ENERZY Foam top midsole provides lightweight cushioning and energy return.
AIRmesh Upper
The upper of the Wave Ultima 13 has been created using Mizuno's AIRmesh technology. AIRmesh is an ultra-lightweight fabric which provides a high level of breathability and comfort. The upper allows a constant flow of air whilst allowing heat build-up to escape, leaving your feet feeling cool and comfortable throughout your run. Not only this, but the shoes feature Mizuno's DynamotionFit technology, making the shoe feel as though it was specifically made for your foot. The engineering of it means that it also adapts to your gait cycle, again making it feel personalised. The shoes have a premium, removable in-sock, increasing cushioning underfoot for instant step-in comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks down the midfoot and provides a personalised fit, reducing in-shoe movement for distraction-free strides.
Mizuno Enerzy Midsole
The midsole unit of the Wave Ultima 13 has been created with Mizuno Enerzy Foam. This soft foam provides plenty of cushioning, comfort and a bounce-like feel propelling you forward with each step taken. The foam is 17% softer and delivers 15% more energy return than previously used midsole materials. Mizuno Enerzy has been developed to enhance performance and provide greater energy return, all whilst providing an overall more comfortable feeling. This is combined with Mizuno Wave technology to provide an even softer landing with excellent stability and shock absorption. The Wave's unique shape will absorb all energy from the footstrike on the pavements, where it is dispersed. The midsole also features a Wave Plate that supplies softer landings, strengthened rebounds and firm stability ensuring smooth transitions throughout the gait cycle. Providing additional comfort the shoes also include a layer of U4icX foam which is an extremely lightweight foam that provides high rebound so that you can run faster for longer.
X10 Rubber Outsole
Durability and traction arrive as an X10 outsole. The extremely substantial carbon rubber allows for longer wear in high-impact areas and provides more traction at the heel strike so you can run hard, knowing that your shoes can handle the heat. Mizuno integrates their Smoothride technology to minimise the rapid acceleration and deceleration of the foot during transition, creating the smoothest ride possible. Smoothride begins working when your foot touches the ground; flex grooves adorn the outsole to promote natural movement from the heel to the forefoot, initiating that rocking chair motion for fluid, uninhibited strides.
