Engineered with race day performance and comfort in mind, the lightweight upper delivers a supportive feel with added protection to help ensure peak performance during long track events. Light in weight and with a one-piece design, the upper of this fast spike won't hold you back with unnecessary bulk on race day and will keep irritation and discomfort from rubbing and chafing during movements at bay thanks to reduced seams and pressure points. A standard lacing system allows you to customise the fit of the spike whilst minimising in-shoe slippage, keeping you feeling secure and stable as you power towards PBs and race day wins. Completing the upper is an eye-catching, limited-edition design that adds a stylish, prism-inspired flare to each stride.
Advanced Midsole and Outsole
Engineered using On's highly responsive Swiss-engineered Helion HF hyper foam midsole, the Cloudspike Amplius offers massive energy return that minimises impact on the body to prevent injury, perfect for long-distance track events. Not only does On's Pebax hyper foam allow the midsole to deliver supreme energy return and comfort, but it also provides you with a supportive stride for a more efficient run. The responsive and supportive cushioning adapts to your running style, absorbing impact, reducing strain and helping you to feel like you're running on clouds. This cushioning midsole foam features the maximum allowed stack height to keep legs feeling fresh and fast, even on the last lap. As well as offering supportive energy return, the Cloudspike Amplius also enables athletes to maintain an efficient and steady pace. This is provided by the stiff midfoot Speedboard that features in the midsole. It works to deliver a harmonious balance between sturdy stability and potent propulsion to literally push you forward to the last lap. The Speedboard is an injected fibreglass-nylon-blend that catapults you forward, therefore enhancing an explosive toe-off, and encouraging a more natural stride. Finally, the Cloudspike Amplius from On has six lightweight spikes alongside a surface-gripping heel pad to provide you with unmatched traction in wet and dry conditions.
