Puma Electrify Nitro 3 Winter Women's Running Shoes
The perfect choice for runners just starting out, the Electrify Nitro 3 has a progressive design delivering the cushioning and reliability needed for your daily jog. The updated two-part midsole contains more Nitro in the heel and sturdier PROFOAMLITE throughout the rest of the midsole, allowing for an airy, cushioned ride.
Breathable Mesh Upper
The upper of the Puma Electrify Nitro has been constructed using a breathable, engineered mesh to provide optimum breathability and comfort. The shoes use different patterns with perforations in areas of the foot that need more ventilation which allows cool air to flow, whilst hot muggy air escapes. A DWR spray helps to keep your feet dry during wet winter weather. Increasing the structure and support, Puma has included Formstrip, which supports the foot and reduces in-shoe movement. The shoes also feature a TPU heel spoiler and a rolled collar to keep the heel secure and comfortable whilst reducing movement for a more secure ride. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system to provide you with a secure, locked-in feel as you move.
Nitro Foam Midsole
The Midsole of the Electrify Nitro has been created using a combination of Puma's Nitro foam and PROFOAMLITE cushioning. Nitro foam is a nitrogen-infused Peba foam, that is lightweight and springy, providing you with high energy return and responsiveness. This foam is found in the heel area of the midsole to increase comfort and provide protection when heel striking. Infusing nitrogen into the foam Puma has been able to expand their midsoles, by doing so the shoes are extremely comfortable underfoot whilst also providing maximum propulsion with each step, letting you run further and faster with ease. Not only will the foam help propel you forward helping you to hit those PBs but it also absorbs shocks and negative impact forces as you strike hard unforgiving surfaces, by doing so this reduces stress on the joints and the risk of injury. The rest of the midsole has been created with PROFOAMLITE, an extremely lightweight EVA designed to cushion your landing and propel each step, the foam is firmer than the Nitro and works to absorb shock quicker, reducing fatigue, helping you to put the miles in.
PUMAGRIP Outsole
Finishing the shoes is the last key feature, the outsole. Puma have used their PUMAGRIP rubber compound, which combines superior traction with durability. Strategically placed the rubber forms a solid connection with a wide range of surfaces, even when wet or dry, giving you the confidence to run whatever the weather. The strong connection with the ground will also provide a firm base for you to push off from, allowing for a more efficient gait cycle.
