Scarpa Instinct VS-R LV Climbing Shoes

The most dynamic, softer option within the Instinct series, the Instinct VS-R LV has a reduced level of intensity from the Bi-Tension, and features the lowest volume fit in the range. These make it an excellent choice for climbers who have found previous models too spacious or lacking in sensitivity and responsiveness, particularly indoor climbers.

Multi-Panel Upper

For outstanding comfort, flexibility and natural in-shoe movement, the Instinct VS-R LV has a multi-panel upper, designed to ensure a custom moulding fit. Utilising microfibre materials, the upper has a super durable construction, with optimum protection and comfort whether you're climbing outdoors or bouldering inside. The multi-panel design provides you with a secure yet flexible fit, with reduced seams to prevent irritation during the more intense, tricky climbs. The soft, flexible design hugs your foot to allow natural, unrestricted motion. The materials are moisture-wicking to reduce the build-up of sweat and moisture when you're under pressure, feet feel fresh and dry. A velcro strap provides you with a secure, locked-in fit, and a deep Y attachment ensures secure hooking. Finally, loops on the tongue and heel assist you in putting the shoes on and taking them off with ease.

Flexan Midsole

Adding soft cushion to your climbing, the shoes feature a half-length 1.0mm insert, which spreads the force in the forefoot and ensures flexibility in the rear of the shoes. The midsole works to prevent discomfort when clambering onto changing surfaces whilst still ensuring sensitivity for a strong connection with the surface below. The Instinct VS-R LV is moderately downturned to allow your feet to form a position that's best for climbing. Working alongside this, the shoes feature a Bi-Tension active ranging system that runs under the toes and draws back through your foot arch, providing greater flex with subtle tension. This version of the Bi-Tension means the underfoot sensation is much softer.

Vibram XS Grip 2 Outsole

Constructed from a Vibram XS Grip, the outsole of the Instinct VS-R LV provides you with optimised support and traction across a range of climbing surfaces and conditions. The outsole is renowned, and used by many bouldering world championship winners. The outsole provides improved grip with a level of firmness that's perfect for moderate edging and slope holds while maintaining consistent performance in a range of conditions.
