The Trail Speed 5X by Silva is the ultimate headlamp for endurance athletes looking for a powerful, yet small, compact, and extremely lightweight headlamp.
Designed to achieve the perfect balance between light output, battery power and weight, the Trail Speed 5X is Silva's most iconic headlamp. The flexibility of the Trail Speed lets you optimise the weight for your specific needs. The battery holder of the headlamp has been improved to suit your needs, attached to the headband it will stay in place and be comfortable throughout wear. The battery holder can be detached and replaced by the back cable guide if you want to keep the headlamp light or so that you can carry it in your pocket instead. The 3.5 Ah slim, rechargeable batteries are extremely powerful, yet slim, and allow you to train for longer. They have a burn time of 20 hours on minimum mode, 8 hours on medium, and 5 hours on maximum mode. The battery indicator helps you keep track of the charge level before, during and after your activity. Not only this but there is a built-in low battery warning and reserve mode, which automatically the light to a setting that will ensure you are still safe and home within 30 minutes of guaranteed light. The Trail Speed 5X is modular, meaning you can shift the headlight between the headband and a helmet, making it a perfect ski-touring companion. There are several other accessories that come with the headlamp such as; a helmet bracket designed to fit most helmets with a double 3M sticker, an extension cord, as well as, cable cords for keeping the extension cord in place on your helmet. The headlamp comes with a wide-anti slip headband which ensures a comfortable fit, even during long, rough activities.
The Trail Speed 5X features Silva Intelligent Light, a unique combination of a long reach spotlight, and a close floodlight. This customisation means you don't need to move your head as much, and you get a clearer view of near and far away obstacles, allowing you to move fast and perform better. Silva Flow Light is also featured, provided even more optimisation, by providing seamless tuning of the light pattern, by simply tilting the headlamp. The super-low mode feature enables extensive training sessions or races by minimising the battery consumption when maximum light is unnecessary. Finally, for ultimate convenience and making it great for drizzly days, the headlamp is water-resistant.
