Suede Leather Upper

Constructed using a suede leather upper, the Salewa Alp Trainer 2 GORE-TEX offer a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimises the risks of wear and tear. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane resides inside the boot, supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside, keeping sweat to a minimum and you cool and comfy. The boot uses Salewa's 3F System to further improve the fit. This system will improve flexibility, which also provides support and a blister-free fit, removing irritations and distractions. The flex collar works to increase the ankle's range of movement and comfort during steep descents, while the rubber toe rand provides additional protection from rocks and uneven surfaces. Specially designed climbing laces run from the toes to the ankle and can secure a tight fit when ascending, whilst can be loosened for improved comfort when descending.

Multi Fit Footbed Plus Midsole

The Salewa Alp Trainer 2 is equipped with a Multi Fit Footbed Plus midsole to ensure lasting comfort and stability. Featuring Salewa's MFF+ technology, this footbed includes interchangeable layers, enabling precise volume adjustments. This innovative design allows you to customise the fit by reducing the volume in either the heel area alone or in both the heel and forefoot, and also to adjust the level of cushioning and support. As well as this, a Cleansport NXT treatment completes the midsole to prevent the growth of odour-causing microbes, keeping the boots smelling and feeling fresher for longer.

The Vibram Alpine Hiking outsole delivers unparalleled grip and traction, ensuring you remain confident and in control on any trail path. The specialised rubber creates a robust connection with the ground for a stable and reliable grip, while its abrasion-resistant properties withstand wear and tear from rough terrain. This ensures the outsole's definition and functionality endure over time. Furthermore, the deep lugs effectively penetrate wet and muddy ground, securing your feet and providing a solid base for each push-off.
