Futurelight Upper
The uppers of the Flight Vectiv Guard's utilise a construction of Futurlight technology, combined with Spectra yarns. The Futurelight fabric that runs through the shoes gives you a customised fit, delivering optimised combinations of breathable, and waterproof protection. The Futurelight upper works to keep your feet dry, cool and comfortable at all times by producing efficient airflow, and keeping the water out. This waterproof membrane will protect your feet even in the harshest rainstorms and allows your feet to breathe when temperatures begin to rise. Allowing cool air to flow throughout the upper, the technology creates a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in, so you can go further for longer in complete comfort. Inside this impressive gaiter is the inner shoe construction, which utilises Matryx and Kevlar panelling, for a durable, and abrasive resistant protective layer. This ensures the shoes are not rubbing uncomfortably against your feet, as well as, provide flexible support for a locked-in feel. A traditional lacing construction also ensures your feet stay locked-in, preventing in-shoe slippage, and distractions from the trail ahead. The gaiters are completed with a zipped closure, to allow an easier on/off, whilst also ensuring the water and even snow keep out. Finally, reflective details are provided to ensure you are visible during low light conditions.
Vectiv Midsole
Designed to maximise energy on the trails, the midsole has been constructed using The North Face's revolutionary Vectiv technology. The Vectiv system works to provide runners with more energy return by reducing fatigue and helping them prepare for the next toe-off. Vectiv technology minimises energy loss, increases propulsion, and delivers an abundance of structural support making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PB's. Within the midsole, a rocker geometry is engineered to create long-lasting forward propulsion so you'll always feel ready to take your next step. A 3D carbon plate underfoot also assists you further in providing multi-directional stability, whereas an Ortholite footbed provides added underfoot comfort as well as moisture management that works to keep your feet cool and dry.
SurfaceCTRL Rubber Outsole
Designed to be hardwearing and grippy the Flight Vectiv Guard Futurelight Trail Shoes have been developed using The North Face's signature SurfaceCTRL Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been optimised to ensure traction even during wintery conditions. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsoles are deep 6mm lugs to retain traction, during wet and snowy conditions.
