Premium Engineered Mesh Upper
Supplying feet with outstanding breathability and comfort, the Paradigm 7 utilises a premium engineered mesh upper. The mesh allows air to fully permeate the entire upper, allowing cool, fresh air in whilst hot, muggy air escapes providing the perfect microclimate for feet to thrive. Lightweight and breathable, the upper allows a more streamlined, run to reduce any unwanted bulk so you maintain focus. In addition, as you start to tire and fatigue kicks in during the longer runs, the GuideRail starts to earn its place. The GuideRail keeps your foot in the most natural position possible, preventing the early stages of overpronation. The FootShape Fit toe box allows your toes to spread out more naturally, increasing comfort and stability during intense running sessions. A plush collar and tongue are soft against the skin and help prevent irritation or abrasion from occurring. Lastly, a ghillie lacing system locks down the midfoot to ensure a secure fit, providing you confidence with every stride. The laces provide a nice snug and locked-in fit, preventing any in-shoe slipping during high-intensity activities.

The midsole is made from Altra's most cushioned foam yet, the Altra EGO MAX. With a generous and soft feel it reduces pressure on your joints as you strike the road. Extremely durable and responsive, this midsole provides all the cushioning you need for the longest of runs keeping you comfortable from the first mile to the last. The original Footshape technology has a wider toe box allowing you to splay your toes for a more natural fit and feel when running on any surface. Every Altra shoe features the Balance Cushioning Platform that places the heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground for natural alignment and a low-impact landing.
FootPod Technology Outsole
The Paradigm 7 features an outsole technology that maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally. Furthermore, the outsole offers Stabilipod technology that acts as a stabilising tripod by enhancing the three natural stability zones in your foot to help prevent excessive foot collapse or pronation. Lastly, the outsole offers a durable rubber compound that enhances durability and traction perfect for getting the best performance road running.
