Gregory Zulu 35 Backpack
In the rapidly changing conditions of spring and autumn, a little extra room for layers never hurts. The Zulu 35 has the capacity for long days, and the ventilated, dynamic FreeFloat suspension makes short work of the final push for the peak.
This pack is perfect for those longer, chillier days out on the trail. It features a large main compartment with a top-loader lid and a U-shaped front zipper. This system allows you to pack the bag however works best for you, and you can access the entire contents of the bag with ease. Additional storage is provided by dual side stretch mesh pockets (with pass-through for over or under compression), a front stretch mesh pocket with durable a fabric front panel and secure buckle closure, extra large hipbelt pockets, and a top zippered pocket with reflective attachment points, key clip, and an underside zippered security pocket.
The pack prioritises comfortable carry. The adjustable torso provides 3.5 inches of adjustment, allowing for a custom fit without compromising support, and the full-length tensioned mesh back panel creates space between your back and the pack to allow for heat to escape and air to flow freely to cool you down. Designed around the architectural principles of tension and compression, the perimeter frame provides stable, yet flexible support to comfortably carry the load on your back, and the Lifespan foam shoulder harnesses are perforated to maximize airflow and comfort on the trail, as well as alleviating pressure. Gregory's patented FreeFloat dynamic hipbelt links the hipbelt to the frame with a panel designed to move and flex with your body, the hipbelt has a 3D design that conforms to the body, seamlessly providing the padding and support needed to carry heavy loads. A sternum strap (with integrated emergency whistle) also helps distribute the load.
A hydration sleeve with a SpeedClip hydration hanger (that is compatible with Gregory's 3D Hydro reservoir - reservoir not included) features for quick and easy hydration on the move. A raincover in a dedicated zippered pocket keeps your kit dry should the weather take a turn for the worse, and custom comfort-grip moulded zipper pulls ensure ease of use. An adjustable attachment loop and upper shock lock provide a hands-free space for trekking poles or an ice axe, whilst a DWR keeps your kit dry.
