The soft outer has been constructed Stormlock Ecosphere; the 100% recycled polyester has a soft cotton-like feel and works to provide lightweight protection. The Kyoto delivers effective protection from wind and rain to keep you comfortable, warm, and dry when the weather takes a turn for the worse. The water-resistant fabric repels light rain and works hard to block out cold winds. As well as this, Stormlock Ecosphere is robust and highly breathable, the fabrication allows cool air to flow throughout the garment whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. Within the jacket, high-loft synthetic fibre insulation ensures you stay comfortable and warm at all times. Microguard Superloft 240 g/m² insulation strives to keep your body temperature stabilised at all times. The insulation traps escaping body heat within its fibres so that you can remain warm even when the temperatures drop.
To ensure added protection on cold winter days, the fixed hood can be used to shield the face in harsh weather. The hood features an adjustable volume and field of vision to ensure a close and comfortable fit that won't affect your vision. The full zip is perfect for any expedition; the zips can be worn closed to seal in dissipating heat or when temperatures rise it can be worn open to release an intolerable heat build-up. The full zip also allows for an easy on and off for quick transitions as you go. An adjustable hem allows you to cinch down the fit and helps to seal in vital warmth on cold days. Two hand pockets can store essential items or they can warm your hands when the mercury drops. Lastly, an inner pocket is perfect for storing your valuable items.
