Extremely light and performing low-cut shoe developed for technical mountaineering. Aequilibrium Speed Gtx®, minimalist in weight but rich in sophisticated technical contents to achieve the best performance starting from the valley floor up to the most challenging peaks.
GORE-TEX Upper
To ensure feet remain comfortable and cosy, even in the more intense weather conditions, the Aequilibrium's have a water-repellent outer gaiter in highly resistant stretch fabric with internal bellows, alongside a GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining. This combination of technologies means that your feet will remain dry during heavy rain, allowing you to concentrate on the journey ahead. Additionally, the shoes have protective edging with a transparent anti-perforation PU coating for maximum lightness, preventing your feet from becoming uncomfortable or damaged from knocks and bumps. TPU shells have been integrated, reinforcing the uppers, which work alongside the ergonomic and precise shape, providing you with a perfect fit. Your feet are further protected thanks to a protective pad integrated into the gaiter to increase the protection of the ankle. The soft fabrics, ensure that feet remain comfortable, preventing abrasion or irritation from occurring when wearing the shoes. Finishing the upper of the boots is La Sportiva's Quick-lace system that has been made with 100% recycled material, providing you with a secure fit with no in-shoe slippage.
EVA Foam Midsole
Working alongside the upper in harmony, the soft midsole provides underfoot comfort. The EVA midsole differs from the standard compression moulded EVA midsoles by providing a high degree of cushioning and a better elasticity of the fabric. Despite being extremely lightweight, the midsole serves you with both protection and cushioning, which will keep you going for longer. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is densely packed into the midsole, which will absorb all shocks and heavy impacts instantly and effectively. The midsole has a Double Heel ™ heel which is very pronounced, this has a double rear block geometry that increases the braking effect on descents and allows for a smoother roll, reducing muscle fatigue, this heel is compatible with semi-automatic crampons in case of ice or snow.
Vibram Dura-Tech Spring Lug Rubber Outsole
To supply you with a great pair of outdoor boots, the Aequillibriums utilise a Spring Lug Tech rubber outsole. The outsoles are made of a rubber shell which for the utmost protection and significant resistance to scratches and wear. This compound enhances grip and traction on an array of surfaces and uses a low-density polyurethane content which further maximises comfort, and renders the sole highly adaptable to uneven terrain. The outsole also uses Impact Brake System Lugs for great adaptability to hard rock surfaces, and it offers real advantages during racing by reducing negative ground impact. The unique position of the lugs allows as many of them as possible to come into contact with the ground, for maximum impact absorption.
