Terracare Nubuck-Leather Upper
Constructed using eco-friendly Terracare Nubuck leather, the Nova IV Mid is light and stable whilst giving you the protection you need on your hike. The Terracare leather has been uniquely produced using state-of-the-art methods with minimal water use and the electricity which has been used to construct this shoe is from renewable energy sources showing. Not only is this sustainably made, but, it will ensure you remain comfortable, with long-lasting protection for your feet. This soft Terracare leather has been given a GORE-TEX finish, meaning this shoe is completely waterproof, whilst being waterproof this shoe is also breathable allowing sweat to escape through the tongue keeping your feet well insulated as well as, cool and dry. Furthering the waterproofing on the shoe is in the elastic GORE-TEX tongue construction ensuring that water can't get in from the top, and keeping all parts of your feet well protected. A 3D Memofoam has been added through the lining of the shoe, providing you additional comfort with the shoe contouring perfectly to your feet.
EVA Midsole
An EVA midsole present through the midsole of these shoes provides you with excellent cushioning throughout. They have strategically mapped out a variety of dense EVA in the midsole of the boot giving you the correct amount of support throughout key areas. The layer which resides under the toe offers the stability and security needed to keep the forefoot well protected. A 3D Memofoam insole is another unique technology specific for Mammut, ensuring you have an individual fit as well as cushioning for the feet at the instep, shin and ankle giving you a plush feel.
Vibram Outsole
The Nova VI Mid GTX Walking Shoes have a Vibram compound present through the outsole of these shoes. This is an exceptional source of stability and grip for your feet, providing you with an optimum level of sure-footedness on day hikes. The flexible properties of the outsole allow feet to move comfortably and naturally, whereas the grippy nature of the sole provides you with the traction necessary on ever-changing terrain.
