GORE-TEX Upper
The GORE-TEX upper ensures the boot are durably waterproofed whilst also delivering optimised breathability. Water stays on the outside while perspiration can easily escape from the inside, thanks to their non-insulated construction. They are the ideal solution for people who value comfort and performance thanks to the outstanding climate control and heat release. The upper is base fit for strong heel support - sliding webbing transfers power from the lacing area to the soles, ensuring improved hold in boot to increase safety and comfort. A three-dimensionally shaped TPU element is designed for the anatomy of the heel bone, which it completely envelops. This delivers optimum heel fit, which in turn helps prevent twisted ankles and protects against rock abrasion. Specially developed lacing works to anchor the boot securely to the foot, giving you greater control and stability out on the trail. An elastic pre-shaped GORE-TEX tongue helps keep dirt and debris out of the boot, whilst also providing a snug, sock-like fit.
Dual-Tech Midsole
This two-part midsole provides the middle ground between stability and comfort ensuring you have both whilst on approach or difficult terrain. A fixed Poro wedge in the forefoot area of the boot has been designed to increase precision on approaches ensuring you know exactly where you foot will be landing. Additionally, pleasantly soft EVA on the heels provides a cushioning effect when walking giving you a plush and comfortable feel whilst on the move. With an anatomically shaped footbed, these boot aim to fit your feet perfectly. With the addition of a Memo Foam insole, this ensures an individual fit and cushions the foot at the instep, shin as well as ankle giving you all the support you need.
Michelin Outsole
Michelin are well known for their traction on outsoles, the outsole for the Alnasca Pro is no different. The high performance rubber supplied by Michelin has been used to build the OCX outsole to give you optimal grip on rocks and has been specially developed for approach boot. The strategically placed lugs on the outsole as well as the varying sizes of the lugs ensure you have the traction where you need it in specific places. Working together with the insole and the elements of the Upper, the Alnasca Pro aims to give you all the stability and protection required for technical terrains.
