Engineered Mesh

The New Balance 680v5 is constructed with an engineered mesh which provides breathability whilst conforming to the shape of the foot for a comfortable fit. Small perforations allow airflow throughout the shoe for a comfortable, dry foot environment. Synthetic overlays are placed on top of the mesh for added durability and support. A no-sew material application is used on the 680v5 which offers comfort without the added bulk and reduces the risk of irritation and discomfort. Finishing off the upper is the padded tongue and collar which provides plush comfort, every time you step inside.

ABZORB Midsole

An injection-moulded EVA foam midsole is firm yet flexible, providing enhanced cushioning every step you take. The 680v5 features a dual density midsole, using ACTEVA and ABZORB material compounds. ACTEVA is a super lightweight foam with exceptional durability whilst ABZORB is NB's top of the line foam material with excellent cushioning and compression set properties. Both materials resist compression set due to consistent cell wall thickness, uniform cell size, and consistent cell shape, offering generous and resilient cushioning, helping to spare your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces.

Rubber Outsole

The rubber outsole offers a smoother and more durable ride with the high-density rubber being strategically placed in high-wear areas. Flex grooves are placed in the forefoot to allow the shoe to flex as one with the foot, ensuring a more comfortable run.
