Salomon Madcross Trail Running Shoes
Progressive in design, grippy and comfortable in delivery, the MADCROSS will appeal to those with an alternative taste for trail adventuring.
MeshUpper
The upper of the Madcross is an elastic, seamless design crafted from an ultra breathable, yet durable mesh that allows built up moisture, heat and vapour to escape the shoe, whilst allowing fresh air to enter and circulate so your feet stay happy and dry. A lightly padded tongue integrated into the structure prevents debris from entering the shoe and guarantees a sock-like fit. The shoe features a shaped collar that is elongated on the back for greater comfort at the Achilles heel, and a slightly reinforced heel counter for greater protection and stability of the ankle. A rubber insert on the toe and forefoot provide protection from sticks and rocks you might encounter out on the trail. The upper is finished with a lacing system with flat laces and mixed TPU and fabric eyelets for perfect pressure management on the back of the foot.
Energy Surge Midsole
The midsole is made from a mix of EVA and OBC, and features Energy Surge technology which offers long-lasting cushioning and exceptional responsiveness. It feels softer underfoot than other midsoles and offers cushy reception upon foot strike, cushioning the foot to protect the joints and muscles so you can go further. It also helps you utilise the force from your last step to power you into your next through rebounds, so you experience less energy wastage. An OrthoLite sockliner has also been placed underfoot to provide the foot with a cushioned and cooler environment, whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.
Contagrip Outsole
Tackle any trails in supreme confidence that you won't be let down by your shoe's grip. Using Contagrip, the outsole is able to form a solid grip between shoe and terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, which means long-term control is guaranteed. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which will anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
