Scarpa Charmoz Walking Boots

Lightweight fully-featured mountain boots designed to tackle three seasons worth of technical alpine objectives, the Charmoz is optimized for weight-sensitive missions and long, fast-paced days over rock, ice and snow.

Breathable HDry Upper

The fully synthetic microtech upper is designed to be highly durable yet still very light, providing ideal protection whilst out on the trail. The upper of the Charmoz Boots provide the perfect balance of lightweight comfort and durable waterproof protection. HDry Technology surrounds the upper of the boots, which means that all moisture is blocked from entering. This makes these boots perfect for wet days on the trails, as the boots will keep you dry and comfortable. The lightweight construction will allow you to push yourself faster than ever before, with little to cause you to slow down as a result of drag or excessive weight. The synthetic leather and fabric upper itself is highly breathable, removing unwanted heat and replacing it with fresh air from the surface. The upper is also extremely fast-drying, which will, in turn, keep the boot feeling lightweight and comfortable in wet conditions. This means that no terrain is off-limits, as you will always be protected no matter what. Surround the outside of the boot, and particularly covering the heels and the toes is a full rubber rind designed to absorb any shocks, protecting vulnerable areas from injury. The Autofit Collar is an ergonomically padded collar that is perfect for ankle wrapping. Ensuring quick fastening the boots feature a Speed Lacing system that provides a comfortable and secure fit all day. The NAG last shape is low in volume and close-fitting for climbing precision that works in conjunction with the lacing down to the toe, for a bespoke, close fit; offering maximum confidence on any terrain. 37.5 Technology padded lining throughout the boots provides great comfort and reduce the risk of chafing and is moisture-wicking for added comfort. Campton compatible TPU heel inserts allow a secure interface with semi-automatic crampons. Finally, carrying muddy boots is easy and clean thanks to the heel loops feature at the back of the boots.

EVA Midsole

A compressed EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down onto hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain.

Vibram Pentax Precision XT Outsole

Ideal for technical mountaineering, the outsole features a durable mont rubber compound and lugs spaced for mechanical grip, with a climbing zone for scrambling and via ferrata. The stiff pro-fibre XT midsole gives the Charmoz accomplished climbing ability. Providing grip and traction on the most challenging of terrain, whilst also keeping the shoes extremely lightweight, the Vibram Pentax Precision XT outsole enables supportive and stable footing whatever the trail. The rubber is able to form a solid connection with a wide range of different surfaces, which will keep you feeling stabilised and upright. The rubber itself is abrasion resistant and will maintain its shape and definition even on rocky ground. Specially designed aggressive lugs anchor your feet to the ground, even in wet conditions providing a solid and firm base to push off from. Flex grooves within the outsole will help foot flexion and reactivity on dynamic walks.
