Scarpa Maestro Alpine Climbing Shoes
Great for climbing in extreme conditions, the Maestro Alpine have an isolation layer to keep your feet warm during winter ascents or high-altitude climbing. They are the perfect winter companion.
Durable Upper with Alumina Space Lining
The Maestro Alpine has a durable upper construction to keep feet shielded during climbing, alongside strategic ventilation to keep feet cosy and breathable. The durable uppers will maintain their structure wonderfully, and ensure that feet remain contained and keep you focused on your next climb. Overlays are present in areas of high wear to keep feet shielded from knocks and bumps on the rocks, adding even more durability where you need it most. A cosy Alumina Space Lining features inside the uppers, to keep feet well insulated and warm on those chilly winter climbs. The insulation works to keep you warm and dry by providing outstanding thermal insulation, alongside excellent moisture-wicking properties to keep your feet feeling dry and fresh. The insulation lining has antibacterial and anti-odour properties to prevent the growth of unwanted smells. Featuring ColdStopper Insulation the shoes use encapsulated aluminium particles to provide active thermal control, which works by reflecting heat back to the source. Acting as a thermal protection from the sun's rays, whilst also keeping you extra warm and providing unparalleled comfort. The lining and upper construction wrap your foot like a sock for a precise fit, avoiding pressure points and keeping you focused. A zippered gaiter provides feet with protection from debris entering, and makes for easy access to and from the shoes, while a lace system provides you with additional in-shoe security, ensuring a locked-in fit and feel.
TPU Midsole
To ensure feet remain stable and prepared for your climb, the shoes utilise a full-length Janus 1.1mm plastic insert, which is shaped specifically to the contours of your foot, allowing you to spread the force across the whole of your foot. Reducing the risks of discomfort and keeping things comfortable. Additionally, the midsole is tough to ensure that torsional rigidity is maintained for a continuous micro foothold, keeping you sure-footed and focused. Working with this, the shoes have an IPC-Tension active ranging system, which provides your foot excellent support and helps to stabilise the centre of your foot, as well as, the outer sides by supporting the foot in multiple areas. This construction ensures that after long days, feet remain comfortable.
Vibram XS Edge Outsole
Developed to provide exceptional grip on your climb, the shoes have a Vibram XS Edge outsole. The outsole compound ensures maximum support and allows you to focus your weight on tiny holds, without worrying about your feet slipping, or deformation and damage to the shoes. The compound keeps its shape through repeated stress whether in hot or cold weather. Alongside this is a 2mm XS Grip 2 heel underlay for even more grip and stability when climbing, and particularly in the heel. This combination of outstanding materials keeps the outsole of the Maestro Alpine firm and reliable.
