The Fastpack FUTURELIGHT Hiking Boots are back for another season - this time with ultra-warm Heatseeker Eco insulation for unbeatable warmth.
Leather Upper
Incorporating a variety of advanced waterproof materials, treatments and processes, the upper of the VECTIV Fastpack Insulated FUTURELIGHT Walking Boots help to keep feet dry. The North Face use an internal waterproof membrane and waterproof fabric to provide an impenetrable moisture barrier for guaranteed dryness. FUTURELIGHT provides a breathable and waterproof membrane that keeps you feeling as comfortable as possible meaning feet stay dry from rainy conditions and protected from moisture both inside and outside of the shoe; keeping you feeling fresh and focused. The uppers of the VECTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT Boots are made from abrasive-resistant leather, to provide feet with the perfect amount of durability. As well as this, the upper allows heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously allowing fresh air to flow in for a pleasant cooling sensation. Air can easily pass through the fabrics and materials to help regulate body temperature. Heatseeker ECO synthetic insulation has been added to this hiking boot to provide durable, lightweight and compressible warmth for the harshest conditions. A D-ring offers gaiter compatibility and a snowshoe knob on the rear heel ensures strap support. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that allows you to get a secure and comfortable fit that locks down the midfoot.
High-Rebound EVA Midsole
Designed to maximise energy on the trails, the midsole has been constructed using The North Face's revolutionary VECTIV technology, an in-shoe technology that combines a 3D plate and rocker geometry midsole to turn energy into momentum for forward propulsion. The VECTIV system works to provide runners with more energy return by reducing fatigue and helping them prepare for the next toe-off. VECTIV technology minimises energy loss, increases propulsion, and delivers an abundance of structural support making running feel effortless and giving you the confidence to reach new PBs. A single-density 3D TPU plate underfoot offers multi-directional stability, with rocker midsole geometry for long-lasting forward propulsion, whilst EVA foam provides additional comfort that remains lightweight and breathable with high-rebound properties. Completing the midsole construction of the VECTIV Fastpack FUTURELIGHT boots is a high-rebound, single-density EVA compound to keep feet comfortable and ready to tackle the long trail ahead.
Surface Control Rubber Outsole
Designed to be hardwearing and grippy the VECTIV Fastpack Insulated FUTURELIGHT's have been developed using The North Face's signature Surface Control Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 4 mm lugs that provide a great balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
