Nubuck Leather Upper

The upper of the Asics Gel-Odyssey is constructed from an oiled nubuck leather upper which is super comfortable, water resistant and extremely breathable. The upper provides superb breathable comfort and providing a constant supply of fresh, cool air while simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides during intense exercise. Additionally, traditional lacing is added for secure comfort during your walk. The lacing coincides with the leather and helps to provide a nice wrapped around and locked in fit, preventing any in shoe slipping from occurring.

A mesh tongue and collar enhance breathability further as well as aids next to foot comfort, while a moulded heel counter locks the heel in place providing a better fit. A protective toe cap is added to the upper to provide sufficient protection to the toes from trail hazards during walking or trekking. Lastly, a removable sockliner provides next to foot in shoe cushioning as well as features moisture-wicking abilities to help keep a nicer and drier environment.

Gel Cushioning Midsole

The midsole has a variety of features that make this shoe the perfect walking shoe for everyday trails. Furthermore, the midsole offers a duomax support system which is a dual density midsole system that is strategically positioned to enhance support and stability. Coupled with a trusstic system the shoe offers superb support and excellent torsional support. AHAR+ Outsole

AHAR+ is a thinner and lighter version of Asics' High Abrasion Rubber. It is placed on heavy and critical contact areas of the outsole to reduce excessive wear and increase durability. Additionally, the outsole offers a guidance line which a visible groove in the outsole which follows the natural line of the running gait, helping to enhance efficiency by smoothing the transition from heel to forefoot.
