Mesh Upper

The upper of the Gel-Blade FF is made from a mesh construction that allows feet to breathe. Micro-perforations in the fabric encourage heat and vapour to escape whilst simultaneously allowing fresh air to flow in and circulate. The reconstructed upper design provides a more supportive foothold, helping you power through training and matches with reduced in-shoes movement. No-sew overlays provide strength and stability whilst remaining flexible, and help to provide that locked-in feeling. The raised heel collar height improves stability and keeps the foot from slipping out of the shoe, and the traditional lacing system anchors the shoe to the foot for yet greater stability and control.

FlyteFoam Propel Midsole

Designed to provide lightweight cushioning, the midsole of the Gel-Blade FF has been constructed with a thicker midsole and layered with ASICS' signature FlyteFoam Propel cushioning. FlyteFoam is the lightest cushioning material ASICS has ever made, 55% lighter than the industry standard, it buffers against the ground to protect you from unnecessary stress and fatigue. Its reinforced, organic fibres let the material bounce back to its original shape after every run, so you can train harder, more frequently, for longer without the worry your shoes might not be able to take it. Resilient and innovative, FlyteFoam Propel technology lets you run with the feeling that your feet aren't even touching the ground. FlyteFoam Propel has all the features and benefits that you already love about the innovative technology but brings together lightweight foam with high-energy return elastomer for increased bounce and unrivalled toe-off, allowing you to get better performances out of every stride. This FlyteFoam Propel technology allows you to experience more underfoot comfort and higher jumps. A higher heel to toe drop has been used within the midsole to help make faster forward transitions. This makes it easier to transition from the baseline to the net more quickly.​ Completing the midsole is TWISTRUSS technology that increases jumping force whilst GEL technology cushioning works to provide excellent shock absorption to reduce the risk of injury.

Durable Rubber Outsole

Grip and control on the court are guaranteed with the durable rubber outsole. Able to form a solid bond with the court surface, the Gel-Blade FF will keep you firmly in charge as you will be able to grip yourself into a solid position. The rubber is also anti-abrasion, which means that the shape and definition of the outsole will be retained. As well as this it can create a strong bond with any ground beneath it, helping you stay in full control. This will improve the long-term functionality of the shoe. The Gel-Blade FF is equipped with X GUIDANCE technology for improved diagonal court coverage. This function increases flexibility and allows you to move more easily on the court.
