Mesh Upper
The upper of the Solution Speed FF 2 is crafted from a mesh that is highly breathable and flexible for comfort. It allows built-up heat and vapour to escape whilst fresh air flows in to keep feet cool. This lightweight mesh won't weigh you down and allows you to move around the court with speed. Rubberised synthetic overlays around the foot provide structure to keep the shoe incredibly stable, perfect for preventing excess movement and twisting on those pivots. The gusseted tongue is comfortable and doesn't shift around during wear, ensuring you stay focused on the match. A traditional lacing system provides you with a secure and locked-in feel.
FlyteFoam and FlyteFoam Propel Midsole
The Solution Speed FF 2 is guaranteed to propel you to greater heights on the court. It's fitted with FlyteFoam midsole technology, which adds a real spring to your step and makes for a more responsive shoe. FlyteFoam is made up of organic super fibres, so you won't see the packing out that so often happens with softer, lower-density foams. This is combined with FlyteFoam Propel which provides increased impact absorption and responsiveness for a softer landing. Embedded within this innovative midsole platform, and complementing its responsive nature, is rearfoot GEL technology. It effectively absorbs shock and protects your feet from high-impact strikes, sparing your joints as you leap and land onto hard, unforgiving court surfaces. The shoe also benefits from the TWISTRUSS system; it reinforces under the arch (without adding weight) and resists torsion, absorbing shock while allowing the foot a full range of movement. The midsole section is finished with an eco-manufactured sockliner for underfoot plushness without costing the planet.
ASICSGRIP Outsole
To ensure you have improved grip and traction across clay courts, the Solution Speed FF 2 features an ASICSGRIP rubber outsole in a two-piece Speed Sole design. The outsole is super lightweight to prevent bulk and thanks to the two-piece design will ensure flexibility when darting across clay courts. The outsole materials are durable to provide a reliable grip for easy movement across the court and the herringbone pattern design allows easy and comfortable movement on specifically clay courts.
This shoe is designed with speed and comfort in mind, with hours spent testing it at the ASICS Institute of Sport Science (ISS) in Japan.
