Breathable Mesh Upper
Employing a newly updated upper to their predecessors, the Rocket X 2s utilise a technical synthetic mesh fabric. This construction supplies your foot with an exceptional level of airflow, to keep you cool and comfortable, even during the more intense sessions of your run. The mesh materials deliver you a foot-hugging fit, helping to prevent movement inside the shoes, meaning fewer distractions when competing. The materials will also work to keep your foot dry, by supplying moisture-wicking properties, meaning sweat and moisture will be removed from the surface of your skin to keep you cool and comfortable. An internal mid-foot cage will work with the mesh to supply you with a secure, locked-in fit, delivering you lightweight, foot-hugging comfort. Working in tandem, the shoes have a gusseted tongue, to keep things comfortable, preventing any unwanted debris from entering, as well as, irritation and abrasion from occurring. Finally, the shoes have a recycled polyester lace-up closure, keeping the foot locked in and secure, and enhancing the fit for an enjoyable running experience.
Carbon Fibre Midsole
Supplying you with an exceptional ride, and reliable pair of racing shoes, the Rocket X 2 Running Shoes utilise an updated PEBA foam, with an increased stack height, providing you with a more cushioned, responsive ride. Additionally, the shoes have a PROFLY-X construction cushioning system that adapts to your stride and provides you with a great balance of support and flexibility. The PROFLY-X foam helps to reduce injury by cushioning landing and returning this energy by providing you with propulsive toe-offs. The low-profile footbed that's provided in the shoes, keeps your foot closer to the ground, utilising a firmer material which is designed to provide an efficient push-off. Utilising a symmetrical bed of cushioning keeps the shoes lightweight, yet still extremely comfortable, and placed between these two responsive foam beds is a newly updated carbon fibre plate. The remastered Carbon Fibre Plate with updated geometry will provide you with a more responsive, impactful ride. The plate has spoon-shaped geometry which enhances propulsion, for assistance with every stride. The carbon plate helps to maintain the meta-rocker which lies underfoot and as a result, the two technologies work in tandem to amplify the rocker's benefits. The aggressive Meta-Rocker is applied in the midsole to increase running efficiency. Meta-Rocker midsole geometry is specifically designed with a low heel-toe differential and a sculpted outsole to create a unique fulcrum effect, like a rocking chair to encourage a guided gait cycle. This supports a runner's natural form while promoting an efficient, smooth roll from initial impact to toe-off.
Rubberised Foam Outsole
A flexible and durable outsole completes the Rocket X 2. Rubberised foam is used to enhance responsiveness, increase traction and ensure high rebound cushioning. The durable rubber outsole will keep you in firm control as soon as you set off. Forming a solid bond with the ground, the outsole will anchor you into place, keeping you in a strong and controlled position. The Rocket X 2's sole uses zonal rubber placement which in turn reduces overall weight whilst still providing excellent durability.
