Keen Tempo Flex Waterproof Women's Walking Boots

What if a hiking boot could move with you? Like really move with you. We took our proven hybrid hiker-trainer platform and added our new KEEN.BELLOWS FLEX technology for a women's waterproof, lightweight hiker that flexes where you do.

Durable Mesh Upper

Constructed using a ripstop mesh upper, the Tempo Flex Waterproof Walking Boots provide durable weather protection and exceptional breathability. The mesh allows cool air to flow throughout the upper whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. As well as this, the mesh is also super durable to resist wear and tear as you explore the unknown. Together with the recycled mesh, a breathable lining helps to ensure a constant supply of fresh, cool air that works to cool at all times. Keen Dry technology is also incorporated into the upper to provide resistance against sweat and moisture which is inevitable during exercise. The breathable membrane keeps your feet cool, dry and comfortable as it wicks away the sweat and moisture so you can focus on your performance without discomfort or distraction. The waterproof nature of KeenDry keeps you protected when the weather takes a turn for the worst. TPU overlays swathe the midfoot to provide added durability, support, and stability whilst padded tongue and collar increases overall comfort. Ensuring ease of movement and increased comfort is Keen's signature Bellows Flex technology. Keen.Bellows Flex makes every step feel easier thanks to built-in flex zones, these flex zones exist where other boots crack and weaken over time to also ensure increased durability. KEEN.BELLOWS FLEX requires less energy to bend, making each step feel easier. Completing the upper is a speed-lace webbing system which ensures locked-in fit so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

EVA Midsole

Constructed using a EVA midsole, the Tempo Flex provides comfortable cushioning that keeps you going all day long. The dual-density EVA provides significant cushioning and comfort to help improve the level of your performance so you can stay at your optimum level, for longer. Holding excellent cushioning abilities, the midsole absorbs shocks as you move throughout the gait cycle providing resilient cushioning and reducing the risks of potential injury. A removable PU insole also features within the midsole to provide added cushioning and support. The insole sits comfortably under the foot and can be easily removed if you'd prefer not to use it. Within the shoe, eco anti-Odour offers natural and effective odour control. Completing the midsole is a stability shank which delivers lightweight support and reduces the chance of ankle rolling or injury by providing a bit more stability to the foot whilst on of rough terrain.

Keen.All Terrain Outsole

Providing ultimate, all-around protection, the Tempo Flex features an Keen.all-terrain rubber outsole. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage, and protect users from losing control and slipping. It is also highly durable meaning no matter what you throw at it, the Tempo Flex will perform time and time again. This high traction rubber promotes grip on a multitude of surfaces while delivering the durability you need to go the distance. Completing the outsole are 4mm multi-directional lugs which provide meaningful traction on tough terrain. The lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
