Breathable Abrasion-Resistant Mesh Upper
Engineered using an abrasion-resistant mesh upper, the Mutant shoes allow cool air to circulate whilst at the same time, removing unwanted warm air to help regulate temperature and create a perfect microclimate. The mesh is also abrasion-resistant to increase durability and stand up to trail running conditions. Utilising SpyralTongue technology, the shoes combine the advantages of quick-fitting shoes with a traditional tongue and the protective features of having an integrated gaiter. The gaitor protects your feet by providing a sock-fit, containing your foot comfortably, whilst allowing flexible and comfortable movement, whilst simultaneously ensuring dirt and debris are prevented from entering to prevent discomfort. These shoes feature FusionGate technology which works with the lacing system to let you adjust the internal volume and how closely the shoe fits your foot, resulting in a more precise fit and enhanced stability.
Injected MEMlex EVA Midsole
The Mutant shoes incorporate an Injected MEMlex EVA midsole, providing exceptional cushioning and shock absorption. This midsole technology enhances propulsion, making these shoes ideal for off-road trails. Additionally, the IMEVA construction significantly minimises the squash effect over time, ensuring long-term cushioning. To further enhance comfort, the midsole includes an Ortholite sockliner with moisture-wicking and breathable properties, keeping your feet cool and dry throughout your run.
FriXion White Outsole
The Mutant is constructed with a FriXion White Outsole, providing an ultra-grippy base for running on varied terrain. Made from abrasion-resistant rubber, the outsole is designed to withstand damage from rocky ground, which improves the shoe's lifespan and functionality. The innovative Impact Brake System absorbs negative ground impact, which enhances traction and downhill grip so you can run without distractions or worries. On soft and muddy terrain, the ultra-sticky sole provides a stable base, and the AT Grip Spike feature delivers versatile traction.
