Montane Featherlite Trail Vest
Block out the wind in lightweight, breathable comfort in the Featherlite Trail Vest from Montane.
The Featherlite Trail Vest from Montane is constructed from 20 Denier Wind Barrier Dynamic fabric. Not only is this fabric super lightweight but it is also wind resistant and breathable, making the vest perfect for long adventures up high on the hills and along the trails. The breathable qualities allow cool air to flow into the vest (without causing a major chill) at the same time warm air is released, creating a cool and comfortable environment inside of the vest. A DWR treatment has also been used on the outer fabric layers. This as well as helping to block rain will allow the water to bead on the surface area, making it easier for the vest to shed it effectively. An external, mesh-lined pocket has been placed on the left side of the chest which provides easily accessible storage space for essentials that may be frequently needed. An MP3 player or phone cord exit point is located in the pocket. This is a great way of keeping all wires neatly out of place and reduces the risk of damage to the user's electrical items. Running down the centre front of the vest is a YKK Reverse Coil Semi-Auto Zip which is finished with an internal wind strip. This will help to block wind and rain from entering through the zipper. The full-length zipper is great for allowing the wearer to choose the amount of coverage or ventilation they receive depending on personal preference and weather conditions. The Featherlite Trail Vest can be stowed away inside of its own hand pocket, making this vest great for packing away and reduces the amount of space is taken up. A microfleece-lined guard has been added to the chin area which will reduce the risk of chafe and abrasion against the skin. The hem of the vest also includes a draw-cord fastening system which allows the wearer to adjust the fit to meet their personal preference. This feature is also great for blocking cold wind and rain, preventing them from entering through the hem opening. A reflective material has been used to make the 'Montane' logo, allowing the wearer to remain safe and visible as they explore in possible lower lighting conditions.
