New Balance FuelCell MD-X Running Spikes
Brighten up every run with the lightweight FuelCell MD-X. Engineered for athletes competing in middle distance track races, the MD-X is an ultra-lightweight spike with ultimate weight-saving technologies.
Synthetic Knit Upper
Providing you with the ultimate running spike, the FuelCell MD-X utilises a synthetic knit upper that provides feet with an exceptionally breathable experience. Due to its unique construction, the upper ensures that feet remain lightweight, with the ability for feet to thrive under pressure. Strategically placed perforations through the fabric allow air to flow freely through the fabrics, ensuring that feet feel cool, even when the competition begins to heat up. To keep feet protected and the shoes durable, a strategic internal reinforcement is provided. A traditional lace-up closure provides you with an adjustable fit, alongside the sock-like fit to ensure your feet remain locked in.
FuelCell Foam Midsole
The FuelCell MD-X features an impressive FuelCell foam midsole, to provide you with comfort. The FuelCell midsole compound is a nitrogen-infused foam that drives you off the cushioning platform quickly and delivers long-lasting performance. Delivering a minimum of 39% more rebound than Revlite, the FuelCell Foam features new and improved high-rebound technology; offering a high-rebound carrier with improved FuelCell technology in the forefoot. This FuelCell Foam midsole creates a high-rebound, energetic, propulsive feel and an ultra-lightweight running experience. The midsole further absorbs the shock and negative impact forces during heel strike and uses the energy to catapult you off into your next step, allowing you to be faster than ever before.
Carbon Fibre/Six Pin Outsole
The MD-X features a full-length external carbon fibre plate outsole with six built-in pins, to provide you with a combination of propulsion and traction. This excellent combination of materials keeps you driving forward no matter how far you go.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
