New Balance FuelCell XC7 v5 Cross Country Spikes
Made for cross-country athletes, these spikes are designed for lightweight comfort and performance on any course.
Breathable Mesh Upper
To keep you comfortable and cool on your run, the shoes have a soft, breathable mesh upper. The upper provides you with a constant supply of airflow to prevent overheating and ensure you are ready to tackle each section of your cross country. The materials are flexible allowing you to move your feet more naturally. The soft materials have a nearly seamless construction to prevent irritation or chafing from occurring and prevent you from becoming distracted on the move. Synthetic overlays feature across the uppers to provide your feet and the shoes with some shielding against knocks, bumps and scrapes when running. Finally, the shoes have a comfortable tongue and soft collar, ensuring that your feet are secure, and working alongside an adjustable lace-up closure prevents in-shoe slipping, keeping feet locked in within the shoes.
FuelCell Midsole
The XC7 v5 features a FuelCell midsole for outstanding comfort on your cross country race, keeping your feet cushioned throughout. Providing you propulsion and energy return to drive you forward, FuelCell is highly durable with a soft, spongey response, to prevent discomfort, whilst the shock-absorbing properties help to reduce injury when you are striking onto the changing ground below. Additionally, the midsole has an angular design to help reduce the weight, however still provides you with optimum cushioning and a comfortable ride.
Rubber Outsole with 6 Spike Pins
Providing optimised grip and traction across mud, grass or wet cross-country conditions, the FuelCell XC7 v5 has a durable rubber outsole, alongside 6-removable spike pins. The durable rubber provides you with long-lasting reliability and excellent grip to keep you focused on every twist and turn on the course. The removable spike pins enhance propulsion and provide improved traction to drive you forward.
**You don't want to feel your toe cramped up against the front of the shoe. A spike should feel like it was meant for your foot, a little more snug than a training shoe feels so we would recommend half a size up on normal shoes**
