Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Jacket

Built to help you reduce your kit on remote multi-day expeditions, it's the perfect all-round waterproof shell for hikers, climbers and mountaineers. It uses recycled Stretch Knit Proflex fabric with a breathable waterproof membrane and a fast-wicking backer to shift moisture fast during high-energy ascents.

Designed with a closer fit than a traditional shell the Rab Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Jacket is the ultimate breathable waterproof for any alpine adventure. For outstanding protection against wet weather, the Stretch Knit Proflex fabric with a breathable waterproof membrane allows the Kinetic Alpine 2.0 Jacket to repel water from downpours keeping you feeling dry and comfortable. Moisture-managing, the backer wicks away sweat, water and excess moisture for quick evaporation keeping you dry during high energy ascents. Abrasion-resistant, Stretch Nylon Woven Proflex panels have been fitted in the hip, arm, shoulders and hood to cope with the exposure of tough, technical climbs. The use of dual fabrics provides reinforcement in high wear areas for longevity. For concealed warmth, the jacket features a full front zip for complete temperature control, it can be worn up to seal in the cold and zipped down or up to release an intolerable heat build-up thanks to the 2-way zip feature. The featured zip is a YKK aquaguard 2-way zip guaranteeing a tight seal against water so no moisture can seep through; keeping you completely dry. The same aquaguard zips are used for the pockets located at the sides and inside the chest of the jacket which provides waterproof storage for all your essentials.

For added protection the hood comes with front and rear adjustments allowing you to custom the fit of the hood to your liking for whatever you take on in your day. Helmet compatible, the hood can easily go over a helmet, constructed with a stiffened and flexible polymer peak to protect your face from changing abrasive conditions. The jacket also includes a brushed tricot chin guard to protect the lower half of your face as you take on tough climbs. To retain heat the jacket features adjustable elements allowing you to custom the fit around the hem and cuffs. A fully adjustable drawcord hem allows you to retain the heat within the jacket by cinching in the drawcord whilst releasing it will allow air to circulate for a cooler feel if necessary. The cuffs have been constructed with velcro for a tighter personalised fit around the wrist for when the temperatures start to drop. Tough but flexible, waterproof but breathable, this is the ultimate 'soft' hardshell for committed alpine adventurers.
