Designed to keep you protected when out and about, the Rab Kaon Jacket is the perfect addition your outdoor adventures. Featuring a lightweight nylon ripstop, the jacket ensures protection on the toughest of trails. The ripstop fabrication reduces the risks of tearing and abrasion to give you peace of mind as you navigate outdoor environments. As well as this, the tightly woven polyamide yarns of the Atmos fabric outer make it highly wind and water-resistant to ensure complete protection as you go. The water-resistant fabrication repels light rain and snow whilst the wind-resistant nature of the fabric blocks out cold wind to keep you comfortable and warm at all times. Conceived as the next step in insulating layers, the Kaon Jacket employs a combination of high-loft hydrophobic down, quick-drying synthetic fill and insulation-free underarm sections for the ideal balance of warmth, protection and movement. It's intelligent zoning of materials uses 800 fill power European goose down in the body, quick-drying Stratus insulation in the cuffs, shoulders and hips and Pertex Quantum Air panels under the arms, ensuring that warmth and flexibility are matched by outstanding breathability when your climb gets intense. To keep you comfortable and warm, a Goose Down has been used in the; it offers unbelievable insulation by trapping warm air inside the garment for maximum warmth at minimum weight. As well as this, Stratus synthetic insulation has been used over shoulders, cuff area and hips to ensure quick-drying warmth in key areas.
The Rab Kaon Jacket uses Pertex Quantum Air underarm panels for increased mobility on the go. Pertex Quantum Air is engineered with increased air permeability to provide a balance between wind resistance and breathability. The lightweight fabrication allows cool air to flow into the garment to reduce an intolerable heat build-up when temperatures begin to rise. As well as this, the underarm panels allow you to achieve a full range of motion because your clothing choice should never inhibit your natural movements. A filled hood which helps you to stay warm and protected at all times. The hood allows you to find the perfect fit whilst shielding you from harsh weather conditions plus, it has been filled with down insulation which ensures complete warmth when temperatures drop. A YKK VISLON front zip exists for complete temperature control, it can be worn up to seal in the heat and zipped down to release an intolerable heat build-up. The chest pocket allows you to store essential items whilst the stuff sack lets you store the jacket when it is not in use. The hem drawcord can be used to cinch down the fit plus, elasticated cuffs allow you to seal in escaping heat.
