Suede Leather Upper

Constructed using a women-specific construction, the Salomon Ellipse Freeze CS WP Women's Walking Boots address specific needs of women, from foot shape to ergonomics to cosmetic look and feel. This tailored boot allows women to feel as comfortable as possible in a shoe that was made specifically for them. The Salomon Ellipse Freeze has been developed using a split-suede and PU leather which allows for longer wear and enhanced durability. The leather upper keeps the feet protected from debris and sharp objects as well as minimising the risks of wear and tear. Within the shoe, a soft breathable mesh and textile lining exist to provide additional comfort by enhancing ventilation. The lining allows hot and humid air to escape whilst allowing fresher air in to create a perfect microclimate for your feet to thrive in. Furthermore, to ensure you're kept cool, dry and comfortable in wet weather, a ClimaSalomon Waterproof membrane remains unaffected by water even when under pressure. The fully waterproof membrane ensures protection from harsh rain and snow by preventing water from entering through the upper. As well as this, to ensure you remain warm in colder weather, a faux fur lining has been used on the upper. This works by trapping in escaping heat to ensure your feet remain warm in the coldest of climates. A gusseted tongue also features on the upper to prevent debris from entering inside the shoe and to keep the tongue centred at all times. Completing the upper are flat laces which lock down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.

Energy Cell Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the EnergyCell Midsole. This multi-functional midsole will provide both comfort and protection, as it has dual-density EVA. Towards the bottom, the EVA is extremely firm, which will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. Energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. Completing the midsole is an EVA sockliner which provides simple but effective cushioning and comfort from the moment you step in till the moment you step out. The cushioned sockliner ensures a plush underfoot feel to provide superior cushioning and unmatch comfort so you can go further for longer.

Contagrip MD Outsole

The Salomon Ellipse Freeze CS WP Women's Walking Boots features a Contagrip outsole, which provides unique traction technology. Contagrip W uses a unique compound that maintains adhesion in freezing temperatures. This ensures the boots work well under varied temperature so you can continue with complete confidence. This material has been specifically chosen for this winter boot as it increases grip in icy, snowy and wet conditions. With a mix of compound, lob geometry and density, it gives the boot brilliant grip and durability, regardless of the terrain underneath. Utilising different combinations of harder, softer and grippier Contagrip compounds, Salomon's adventure running outsole provides the perfect blend of grip and durability to cover a multitude of terrains. Designed with specifically positions forefoot flex grooves and self-cleaning multi-directional lugs, these outsoles are field tested and proven to dynamically tackle rugged terrains.
