Salomon Alphacross 4 Women's Trail Running Shoes

Ripstop Upper

Constructed using a Ripstop upper, the Alphacross 4 Trail Running Shoes are highly durable, the upper is constructed using nylon which helps resist tearing and abrasion. Not only will the ripstop fabric reduce abrasion it will also allow the shoe to look newer for longer. This upper ensures that your foot stays in place with every stride for added comfort and support throughout your runs. Salomon have used a gusseted tongue to prevent debris from entering the shoe, stitching this to the upper the tongue stays centred and comfortable against the foot. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides, Salomon have used flat laces to reduce the risk of chafing.

Fuze Surge Midsole

Within the midsole, the shoe has injected and compressed EVA which forms the Fuze Surge Midsole. The midsole unit is made from Salomons softest EVA foam, this has been made using fewer artificial polymers, by doing so this provides a smooth ride but also has a positive impact on the earth. The EVA midsole will absorb shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole of the foot. The energy produced from this will also be returned as rebound, which will give you an added spring in your step. The higher you get in the midsole, the EVA becomes less densely packed, which will make every step feel comfortable. An OrthoLite Diecut sockliner also exists underfoot to provide the foot with a cushioned and cooler environment, whilst also reducing the risk of irritation caused by rubbing and chafing.

Mud Contagrip Outsole

Mud Contagrip is built for maximum traction on loose, soft, rugged, and uneven surfaces and is durable enough to withstand the toughest trails. Built with deep, sharp lugs, the Alphacross 4 delivers optimum grip to keep you grounded on tough terrain. When you are running on the wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
