Synthetic Upper

Supplying you with a breathable and comfortable fit on the trail Salomon has used a synthetic and textile upper. Not only, soft against the skin, the materials protect your feet from knocks, scrapes and trail debris on running adventures whilst providing exceptional support to provide you with the greatest fit. The materials are durable and breathable, to prevent distractions or overheating, allowing feet to thrive even during the more intense stages of your run. Treated with a water-repellent finish the shoes keep feet dry in light rain or snow showers. The shoes have a gaiter design with a zipped, protective cuff that wraps the top of the shoe around the ankle preventing water, snow, rocks and sand from entering the shoe. A protective toe cap keeps toes shielded and safe from knocks and bumps on the trail. Completing the uppers is a Quicklace lacing system which is a minimal, yet effective construction to keep your foot locked in and secure in the shoes. The laces are easy to tighten and loosen with just one pull and can be stored away in the lace pocket provided.

EnergyFOAM Midsole

The S/LAB GENESIS utilise an EnergyFOAM midsole, a lightweight, responsive foam that combines EVA and Olefin materials. This construction absorbs shock and impact, providing a super plush level of cushioning, whilst ensuring exceptional bounce and energy return. The comfort supplied by the midsole will keep you focused and ready to tackle the trails all day. Alongside this, the shoes have a Profeel Film underfoot, which helps keep your strides smooth and stable, by acting as a comfortable filter between you and the terrain.

All Terrain Contagrip Outsole

Tackle any trails or terrain in supreme confidence that your shoe's grip won't let you down. Made from Contagrip, the outsole can form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain. The rubber is also extremely durable and abrasion-resistant, guaranteeing long-term control. When you are on wet and muddy terrain, the shoe's deep lugs dig into the ground, which anchor you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base to push off from when taking a stride and digging into the ground when braking and changing direction. Completing the outsole are Salomons ativeCHASSIS and advancedCHASSIS. The advancedCHASSIS is a moulded insert embedded in the outsole, providing strong lateral support and reassuring protection, it also delivers optimal mobility and flexibility, whilst activeCHASSIS offers increased guidance, uncompromised agility and fluid freedom of movement.
