Textile Upper with quickLACE
The upper of the S/Lab Ultra Glide is made from a soft, stretchy textile that is highly breathable. It swathes the foot in comfort and allows fresh air to flow in and out. A toe cap overlay provides extra structure and support, whilst also providing protection from scuffs and scrapes out on the trail. The quickLACE system allows you to lock down the midfoot for a secure yet comfortable fit. They adjust with ease and can be tucked into the lace garage.
Dual Foam Midsole
The midsole is constructed from a combination of energyFOAM and energyFOAM+ that work in tandem to provide soft, bouncy cushioning underfoot. energyFOAM is a lightweight and cushioned EVA foam for a performance usage, it compresses and provides rebound for energetic steps as well as attenuating shock from foot strike. energyFOAM+ is a lightweight foam with superior energy absorption and energy return. It is responsive and cushioned for resilient bounce and pop, helping you run further, and faster with less effort.
All-Terrain Contagrip Outsole
Crafted with All-Terrain Contagrip, the outsole perfectly balances geometry with rubber to deliver confident running on a wide range of surfaces. The Contagrip provides outstanding traction on wet, dry, hard, and loose surfaces giving you stability whilst on the trail. The outsole can form a solid grip between the shoe and the terrain. The shoes feature a wavy outsole geometry called Relieve Sphere, which is specifically designed to diffuse pressure and to break down repeated underfoot impact for enhanced, durable comfort. When you are running on wet and muddy ground, the shoe's deep chevron lugs dig into the ground, anchoring you in place. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction. The rubber construction of the outsole provides the shoes with durability helping to reduce the risk of wearing in high-wear areas of the sole.
