Scarpa Veloce L Climbing Shoes
A vegan-friendly climbing shoe, designed with exceptional grip, specifically for indoor wall climbs. The Scarpa Veloce L has a slightly arched shape, with extra space in the toe box and a lacing system to provide a customisable fit.
Microfibre Upper
Constructed using a microfibre upper, the Scarpa Veloce L Climbing Shoes are worthy of any outdoor adventure. Designed to provide the right amount of flexibility and support, the upper conforms to the shape of the foot yet, retains its elasticity for a better, more supportive fit. The microfibre upper ensures the shoes hold their shape for longer than other leather equivalents plus, it's soft on the skin for complete comfort. The shoes have a square-shaped toe box, meaning a reduced level of pressure and a wider base for feed to remain comfortable. The upper is built with a down-turned design ensuring precise toe placements with high levels of feedback so you can perform to your best ability. The heel is bonded directly to the outsole meaning you get the same level of support and durability in the heel as you do in the outsole. The rubber in the heel protects you from knocks. Added protection also comes from the rubberised toe box which protects the toes from knocks and scrapes, and is ribbed to support secure toe hooking. M50 is Scarpa's softest rubber compound and offers the best levels of adaptability to the natural curves of the foot and toes. This morphing rubber compound gives a Shore A rating of 50, making it perfect for use in the toe patches. Completing the upper is a lacing system that keeps your shoes firmly secured to your foot and provides a customisable fit even on the most uncompromising climbs.
TPS Insert
With a TPS insert, the midsole of the Veloce L Climbing Shoes from Scarpa provides enhanced support and an anatomical fit that gives a flexible finish. TPS is a 3D moulded insert that has been positioned under the forefoot. It provides you with a customised, anatomical fit to the front area of the shoe. This TPS gives better support for the toes when pushing down hard whilst also helping to improve pulling capabilities and increase precision.
S72 Outsole
Providing you with excellent levels of grip on the walls, the climbing shoes utilise an S72 outsole, which is a high-friction rubber, which has been developed and tested by Scarpa. This soft compound has a Shore A rating of 72, meaning it is very adaptable to any surface and has an excellent mechanical keying effect. The S72 outsole also works well on rock as well as, indoor walls. Finally, the rigid nature of the outsole supports you during any climb by adapting to the ground below you and bearing your weight as you move from rock type to rock type. It also is counterbalanced by adaptability and sensitivity. The outsole allows for a more natural feel ensuring you can detect rocks beneath your feet for a barefoot experience.
