Scarpa Rush 2 Pro GORE-TEX Walking Shoes
The Rush 2 Pro GORE-TEX is the nubuck version of the Rush 2 family. This shoe has a hybrid nature in terms of stability and support of the foot, with a structure superior to a trail running shoe but more agility than most hiking ones. The rigid TPU heel structure and the EVA midsole provide stability and a more even distribution of cushioning.
GORE-TEX Upper
Constructed from a Nubuck Leather the upper of the Rush Pro 2 Walking Shoes supply feet with protection and comfort. The shoes include a GORE-TEX lining protecting feet in wet weather conditions. The membrane works to stop moisture from getting into the shoes whilst allowing built-up heat and vapour to escape, keeping feet dry inside and out. The Nubuck leather is strong providing you with a long-lasting reliable pair of shoes. A SockFit construction of the upper will mould to your foot shape to keep you feeling comfortable at all times and a soft padded tongue removes the risk of irritation being caused to the ankle, whilst it also acts as a block for debris. The shoes have a rigid TPU heel structure to provide support, keeping the heel in the correct position and reducing in-shoe movement. A toe bumper helps prevent injury from trail debris. Finally, the shoes have a light cord loop system that evenly spreads the pressure easily securing the upper and avoiding pressure points.
EVA Midsole
A dual-density compression moulded EVA platform resides underfoot for lightweight, responsive cushioning. Generous, soft and durable, it spares your joints as you strike down on hard, unforgiving surfaces. Exceptionally lightweight, the EVA ensures long-lasting cushioning to keep you comfortable on long-distance days. EVA is extremely firm, absorbing shocks instantly and effectively, preventing them from causing any damage to the sole. The energy produced will also be returned as a rebound, adding spring to your step. The midsole ensures you're ready for unpredictable trails and tough terrain.
Presa Outsole
The PRESA sole is made with a high-grip and durable compound, pronounced heel and hiking-oriented lugs, which promote braking on descents and grip on climbs. This will keep you under control when taking on technical paths and trails. The rubber is abrasion-resistant, retaining its shape and definition despite being tested on hard and rough surfaces. In addition, the IKS (Interactive Kinetic System) technology has 7 cushioning areas (domes): 6 on the forefoot and 1 on the heel. The 7 domes offer great cushioning and a progressive support of body weight. Progressively and specifically supporting the weight of our body during activity in the mountains.
