Salewa Agner Hybrid Down Jacket
The Agner Hybrid Down Jacket is a hybrid insulation layer for alpine climbing where high-intensity leads are often followed by long, cold belay duty.
Designed to provide lightweight comfort and warmth, the Salewa Agner Hybrid Down Jacket is the perfect addition to your walking wardrobe. Constructed using a nylon ripstop fabrication, the jacket provides lightweight abrasion resistance so you can go further for longer with complete confidence. The jackets body mapping techniques carefully match the design and materials to the body's ability to insulate and manage both cold weather and overheating during activity. The construction provides warmth only where you need it and does away with unnecessary insulation. At the torso, back and shoulders, the jacket features a high-loft 90/10, 750 fill power down which keeps you comfortable and warmth when temperatures drop. The down insulation works to trap escaping heat within its fibers so you can remain comfortable and warm when the mercury drops. As well as this, a 4-way stretch Durastretch softshell fabric has been used in the lower arms and lower body to provide the breathability and freedom of movement you need when climbing. The lightweight and soft fabrication allows cool air to flow throughout the garment whilst, at the same time allowing hot, humid air to escape; this creates a perfect microclimate for your skin to thrive in. The fabrication also moves with your body's natural motion because your clothing choice should never inhbit your natural movements.
Furthermore, the Agner Hybrid Down Jacket has been constructed using bonded down chambers and laser-cut perforations which allow active-venting airflow so that excess body heat can escape. The result is a super-high warmth-to-weight ratio and super small packability. A DWR treatment has been used on the outer of the jacket to ensure added protection. The treatment repels light rain and snow to keep you comfortable and dry when the weather takes a turn for the worst. To ensure added protection, the tailored hood with elastic binding can be used to shield your face when bad weather rolls in. The ergonomic sleeves and shoulders offer a good fit whilst lightweight elastic binding on the cuffs and hem help to seal in escaping heat. The front zip can be used to control the ventilation. In cold conditions, it can be worn up to seal in any escaping heat or, when temperatures rise in can be worn down to release an intolerable heat build-up. The zip also features an internal full-length windproof flap which works to keep out cold winds so you can remain comfortable and warm. Two spacious mesh inner pockets are perfect for small valuables whilst a flat side zipped pocket is perfect for small essentials. Lastly, the jacket stows small into the integrated compression pouch.
