The North Face VECTIV Infinite II Trail Running Shoes
An updated version of their predecessors, the VECTIV Infinite II Trail Running Shoes deliver all the features you need for navigating extremely technical terrain.
Breathable Upper
To ensure in-shoe comfort on the trail, the VECTIV Infinite II has a breathable knit upper construction, which supplies your feet with a constant level of airflow, and prevents your feet from overheating no matter the intensity. The moisture-wicking nature of the materials will ensure feet remain dry, whilst the soft materials prevent irritation and abrasion, keeping you comfortable throughout. With a newly updated design, The North Face has redesigned the width of the shoes, accommodating a broad set of consumer foot shapes. The shoes have a plush, cushioned tongue, that sits against your foot comfortably and prevents dirt and debris from entering. Tongue wings are also included to reduce in-shoe slippage and enhance step-in comfort and fit. Working alongside this, the shoes have a traditional lace-up system to keep your foot locked in and secure.
VECTIV 2.0 Midsole
The VECTIV Infinite II Trail Shoes utilise a VECTIV 2.0 midsole compound for a comfortable, supportive ride. VECTIV technology uses a 3D-plate and rockered midsole underfoot for excellent comfort and propulsion. The rocker-shaped geometry, has a forked design through the heel, to provide long-lasting forward propulsion. Slotted through the forefoot is a plush, premium EVA compound with a 6mm high-rebound Pebax drop-in insert, for expansive cushioning and enhanced comfort. Not only this, but the shoes have a 10mm greater toe spring than their predecessors for even more propulsion to assist you in every stride.
SurfaceCTRL Outsole
Designed to be hardwearing and grippy the VECTIV Infinite II Trail Running Shoes have been developed using The North Face's signature SurfaceCTRL Rubber Outsole. This durable compound has been specially designed to ensure traction on both wet and dry surfaces. Not only does the outsole work exceptionally well on wet and dry terrain but it also works to ensure multi-directional traction on a wide range of surfaces. The highly durable rubber is strong enough to withstand the toughest trails yet, is flexible enough to adapt to different terrain so you can have complete control. The durable rubber provides a strong grip on the most challenging terrain; it works to protect itself from damage and protect users from losing control and slipping. The outsole is designed to hold firm on uneven terrain so you can have complete confidence on the toughest terrains. Completing the outsole are 5mm lugs that provide an exceptional balance between traction and durability on the trail. The lugs dig deep into wet mud and grip on to slippery rocks to ensure added traction and control. This will also benefit you by acting as a solid base for you to push off from when taking a stride, as well as digging into the ground when braking and changing direction.
