Snug Fitting Upper

Designed to fit like a sock, the upper has technologies that have differentiated stretch zones, which will mean that the feet are able to stretch and flex in the shoe without any restriction from the trail running shoes. The upper also has thermo adhesive stretch zones and stabilisers which will eliminate seams to fit on your feet like a sock. As well as this, the upper material will allow a constant flow of air in and out of the fabric. This will work constantly over time and will keep your feet ventilated and comfortable. When exposed to moisture, the material will work efficiently to wick moisture away efficiently and effectively. This will mean that the shoe will remain lightweight no matter what the conditions are, to allow you to push on further and faster than ever before. A protective TPU toe cap will provide protection to the forefoot from any bumps or knocks that you might receive. Similar protection surrounds the heel, keeping that in a secure and strong position. The shoes use an asymmetrical Ghost-Steam Lacing System. This structural lacing system will provide you with a 360 degree snug fit for complete control, whilst the laces can be concealed and kept out of your way. A flat-lying tongue will sit comfortably on the ankle, with a reduced risk of irritation being caused by rubbing and chafing.

Compressed EVA Midsole

The midsole on the VK Boais designed to provide the perfect balance of fluidity, stability and flexibility. The compressed EVA in the midsole and other technical additions help the shoe achieve this. Towards the bottom of the midsole, the EVA is extremely firm and will absorb shocks instantly. This will prevent them from reaching the sole of the foot, and it will also improve the stability of the shoe by spreading the energy evenly. The EVA towards the top of the midsole softer, which will provide underfoot cushioning. Inside the midsole, there are TPU stabilisers, which spread energy evenly to keep you in a level position. A dual-density EVA rock guard insert within the midsole will protect the foot from heavy contacts with sharp rocks. The midsole is also versatile and will react to surfaces differently. On the harder ground, the midsole focuses on improving the durability, whereas on softer ground, responsiveness is improved.

Frixion Green Outsole

For guaranteed control and grip on the most challenging of terrains, the VK Boa uses a Frixion Green outsole. This will give you the added security and control needed no matter what the conditions are. The rubber is able to form a solid grip with hard ground to give you a firm base, as well as confidence when landing. Multi-directional lugs and grooves will also improve your control by digging into wet ground, securing you in place for a solid place to push off from. The rubber is abrasion-resistant, standing up to abuse from below to maintain its shape and definition over a long period of time. At the rear of the outsole, there is a rear spoiler that is made from antiskid microfibres. This will guarantee more control, with a reduced risk of skidding. It will also assist with speeding up, as it will provide you with a solid base to push on from.
