Breathable Engineered Mesh Upper
Engineered mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Lightweight and highly breathable for all-temperature comfort, the mesh acts as a lightweight second skin, providing a supportive and comfortable fit. Its perforated construction allows air to fully permeate the upper, letting your feet breathe when the temperature rises or your training session heats up. The upper construction also features foot-shape comfort which allows the toes to remain relaxed within the shoe. It allows them to spread out naturally with the big toe remaining straight for additional comfort, speed and stability. An updated heel construction ensures a secure and comfortable fit so you can go further for longer. Completing the upper is a lacing system that locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
Altra EGO Midsole
The Provision 7 has an EGO midsole to increase the cushioning and durability of the midsole. The midsole contains many areas with features that provide the shoe with extremely responsive rebound and cushioning with standard EVA that protects and rebounds. The cushioning sits directly underneath the foot, reducing ground impact and returning the energy as a spring for each step taken. A guide rail provides increased support when and where you need it the most. This allows the feet to have a more natural alignment with the ground and provides added stability so you can run faster and further for longer. The midsole also includes INNERFLEX, grid-like grooves that allow your foot to flex whilst still being light on your feet ensuring more speed and better performance. Finally, the midsole features a balance cushioning platform that provides feet with more natural alignment with the ground providing added stability so you can run faster and further for longer.
FootPod Outsole
The Provision 7 features an outsole technology that maps the bones and tendons of your foot to help it bend and move naturally. Furthermore, the outsole offers stabilipod technology that acts as a stabilising tripod by enhancing the three natural stability zones in your foot to help prevent excessive foot collapse or pronation. Lastly, the outsole offers a durable rubber compound that enhances durability and traction, perfect for getting the best performance when road running.
