Altra Torin 8 GORE-TEX Running Shoes
Altra has added a waterproof GORE-TEX upper to the Torin 8. It's the classic Altra feel with a soft midsole, now designed to keep your feet dry on rainy days. GORE-TEX Invisible Fit is a lightweight, waterproof upper backed by the GORE-TEX guaranteed to keep you dry promise.
Jacquard Mesh Upper
Ensuring your feet have a constant supply of airflow for optimal breathability, the Torin 8 features a jacquard mesh upper. Perforations within the fabric encourage cool, refreshing air to circulate whilst at the same time removing unwanted, warm air, providing distraction-free comfort. A GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane also resides in the upper which works to keep feet dry from wet and changing weather, by preventing water from entering the shoe, therefore helping to reduce the risks of wet, soggy feet. The shoes utilise Altra's Standard FootShape Fit for a roomy, natural fit, that allows toes to splay naturally during running. A moulded heel collar provides a better fit for less irritation while the soft, padded tongue further enhances comfort. Completing the upper is a traditional lacing system that locks the midfoot for a secure fit.
Altra EGO MAX Midsole
Featuring the ultra-lightweight and spring Altra EGO MAX midsole, the Torin 8 ensures complete comfort and cushioning with every step. The midsole works hard to cushion the foot on impact, protecting you from stress and strain as you strike down onto the ground, reducing injury risk so you can keep running with confidence. The ultra-springy nature of the midsole means you get bouncy rebounds that make you feel unstoppable. The midsole works with the force from your last step to power you into your next one, resulting in reduced fatigue. The midsole design features a Balanced Cushioning platform. This places your heel and forefoot the same distance from the ground to encourage proper, low-impact form throughout your run.
Durable Rubber Outsole
The outsole of the Torin 8 has been constructed from a durable and abrasion-resistant rubber to ensure long-lasting use and optimal traction. It forms a solid grip on the ground allowing for forward propulsion, allowing you to move further, faster and confidently. The outsole uses FOOTPOD technology, which maps out the bones and tendons in the foot to encourage more natural movement underfoot for a more comfortable feeling whilst running.
